The Rising Stars & Guiding Lights brunch is an annual event held in tandem with CONNECTIONS 2026: CPRS Conference & Expo taking place in Long Beach, CA. This is the time to celebrate the rising stars of the park and recreation profession, bring together the guiding lights of our industry, and work to support the California Foundation for Parks & Recreation (a 501(c)3 non-profit entity) to continue their work supporting professionals and the communities we serve.

Craig and his podcast have received national attention for helping parks and recreation professionals tell our story like no other.

Registration includes a delicious brunch and access to the program.
NOTE: This year, registration for the brunch has been "unbundled" from registration to attend CONNECTIONS. Cancellations and Transfers
Registration may be transferred to another representative from your agency at no charge until Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Fee difference will be assessed if necessary due to membership status. Thursday, January 22nd and forward, a $10 transfer fee will be due.
Refund/Cancellation requests received in the CPRS office by Wednesday, January 21, 2026, will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Refund/Cancellation requests received Thursday, January 22 - Friday, February 27, 2026, will incur a $20 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued following February 27th.
