JEDI Virtual Roundtable March 2025
Impacts & Pivots: Grants & Federal Funding Considerations
JEDI Counsel Virtual Roundtable
Wednesday, March 5, 2025 @ 12:30 - 1:30 pm (Pacific)
via Zoom | Free to Attend
Join the CPRS JEDI Counsel and fellow park & rec professionals for a free, virtual roundtable focused on grants and other federal funding sources impacted by recent Executive Orders.
We’ll also hear from a California agency participating in NRPA’s Supporting Healthy Aging Through Parks and Recreation (SHAPR) Grant. They will share firsthand insights on new restrictions on the awarded funds regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion, and gender ideology programs, personnel, or activities.
The discussion will be followed by an open forum for participants to discuss what they’re observing, planning, and considering in their own agencies. Our goal is to help each other identify potential pivots and strategies to adapt to these evolving guidelines.
These virtual roundtable events offer a 'brave space' for open dialogue and learning about what can be challenging and nuanced topics. The roundtables will not be recorded so participants may feel more welcome to have authentic and productive discussions. The information exchanged and ideas offered are not legal advice nor the opinion of CPRS, rather, the ideas and opinions of the individuals sharing them.
Registration closes on Tuesday, March 4th at 11:59 pm.
Registrants will receive the zoom meeting access information via the email address provided on Wednesday, 03/05/2025, by 11 am. This email will come from Lauren Oakley at [email protected].
This roundtable is free for all to attend -- CPRS membership is not required. We welcome you to invite other members of your organization and team to join us for some thoughtful discussion around these JEDI principles.
If there are topics you would like to suggest for future JEDI virtual or in-person roundtables, please email Lauren Oakley.
