This virtual conference has been developed for all Recreation professionals with a full range of sessions that have developed to enrich and concentrate on the Rec Professional Experience. Cultivating
a Dynamic Team
Attendees
will be able to go back to their workplace and implement strategies to
facilitate and develop an effective on-boarding process. Attendees will
also be able to go back to their workplace and implement strategies designed to
empower staff, recognize staff and develop a productive team.
Keeping the
Conversations Going, JEDI Panel – Lead by Tiarra Warner
Panelist
will discuss their personal experiences with Justice, Equity, Diversity, and
Inclusion. Keeping the conversation going will remind us all that as
individuals we part of the JEDI experience.
RFP Basics
In this session, we will go over the basics of what a Request for Proposal
(RFP) entails, how to prepare for and write an RFP, and provide helpful RFP
tips so that you can feel comfortable and confident in writing your first or
your next RFP.

Parks and Recreation Managers must develop strong communication
and emotional intelligence skills to provide their team of various
personalities the tools to succeed. With the new light-speed and constant
changing environments and rules, many staff who were always considered
"stars and motivators" are burning out and beginning to self-doubt.

knowing the budget is necessary. This is a review of Budget Basics, important
budgetary factors, and cost recovery.

O.P.P. (Older Person’s Perception) B.A.D.?
The public’s
perception of older adults impacts the validity of seniors as active and
contributing members in communities every day. From entertainment to health
care, the workforce to social media, how we think about and interact with older
adults can contribute to how they feel they fit in our communities. This
session will discuss how we can reframe our perception on aging and older
persons so that we can create more age friendly communities for all residents.

journeys in the Recreation Profession. This session is perfect for those
